Dolfin, a gourmet and ecological chocolate

18/11/2021

Dolfin, the Belgian chocolate maker, which sells its products in more than thirty countries, has created its own cocoa bean fermentation centre in the Ivory Coast and a green factory in Nivelles.

For more than thirty years, Dolfin has been known worldwide for its surprising combinations of chocolate with fruits, spices, flowers and the great classics of quality confectionery to achieve exquisite and well-rounded flavours, without any added sugars or fats. Such combinations include spiced biscuits, pink pepper, lemon, ginger, roasted almonds... This is a real Sisyphean task because it is essential to innovate and constantly offer new taste combinations so as to retain and grow its customer base.

Two years ago, Dolfin moved into a more environmentally friendly building in a zone in Baulers (Nivelles), at an investment of 2 million euros. The brand has always been concerned about ecology. Twelve years ago, it was even the first Belgian chocolate factory to offset 100% of its carbon production. It has also launched a new 100% organic and 100% fair trade product.

In order to guarantee product quality, Dolfin only uses high-quality, natural ingredients.  The fresh cocoa beans are rigorously selected before being fermented and dried in its new centre in Ivory Coast.

You can find these delicious products in London, Paris, New York... and of course Belgium.
