Taking charge of Mouton Cadet

11/10/2018

The Belgian Véronique Hombroekx took over the management of the company Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA on 22 January 2018. Originally from Herstal but from Uccle by adoption, Hombroekx is now responsible for the future of a group with a turnover of 233 million euros just for Mouton Cadet. Our compatriot originally trained as a dietician and has already managed several international groups in the food sector.

The company Baron Philippe de Rothschild produces Mouton Cadet. This is one of the most popular Bordeaux, with almost 12 million bottles sold every year, 70% of them exported; it is the most marketed appellation Bordeaux AOC in the world, selling in around 150 countries. Made from merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc grapes, this is a wine blended from different Bordeaux vintages. It owes its name to the fact that the Baron was the owner of the Château Mouton and also the youngest child in the family.
