Deliverect, the Belgian success story that is being exported

03/03/2022

By offering management solutions for online restaurant orders, the Ghent-based start-up has seen its assets valued at more than one billion dollars and entered the closed circle of internationally active Belgian unicorns.

Founded by two young Belgian entrepreneurs, the Deliverect start-up has grown to the point where it can now be described as a "scale-up", which is a new entity with an annualised return growth of over 20% in its first three years.

Surfing in the fast-growing market of home deliveries of ready-made meals, this Belgian company has developed computer software that integrates ordering platforms such as Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Takeaway.com.

Deliverect continues to grow at a rapid pace, with more than 20,000 customers, including large chains and small independents. The Ghent-based company is already present in around 30 countries and aims to extend its services worldwide and to other types of businesses in addition to the restaurant industry.

Already valued at 1.4 billion dollars, Deliverect, like Collibra, Combell and Odoo, is now part of the very closed circle of unicorns, i.e. start-ups worth more than one billion dollars that are neither listed on the stock exchange nor a subsidiary of a large group.

This is another great Belgian success story!
