Your electric shared car in Antwerp is now always charged

20/07/2023

In Antwerp, you have to be lucky to find a free-standing charging station for your electric car close to home. The start-up Uze is coming to the rescue, with its clearly recognisable pink and white charging wagon.

From now on, you will no longer be faced with an unpleasant surprise in Antwerp when you notice that the battery of your electric shared car is almost empty and you can't find a free-standing charging station in the immediate vicinity. Just order the amount of energy you need via an app from Uze, the Antwerp mobile charging station company. In no time, an employee will show up on his recognisable pink and white wagon with a fast charger on board. He'll open the tailgate, connect his battery and after 40 minutes your car will be ready for another 200 km. You don't even have to be there yourself, because your car is registered in the app and Uze's man will find you without any problems, wherever you are in the city.

And the company is ambitious.  For the time being, this easy, fast and convenient charging service only applies to shared cars in Antwerp. As of autumn, however, every Antwerp resident should be able to use the mobile solution. Uze is now working on the roll-out of its revolutionary concept in Brussels and also aims to break through in Copenhagen in 2024. In the long term, the rest of Europe beckons and why not the world?
