A string of victories for Remco Evenepoel!

26/09/2019

19-year-old Remco Evenepoel has won time trial silver at Yorkshire 2019 World Championships. He finished 2nd, one minute and eight seconds behind Rohan Dennis, the seasoned Grand Tour rider from Australia.

The young cyclist has already had a string of solid results in 2019. After his performance at the 2019 Tour of Belgium, his first victory in the 2019 Clásica de San Sebastián and his European time trial title, our young compatriot has continued his race for awards.

Indeed, by coming second in the time trial event at the World Championships in Yorkshire, Great Britain, he won a silver medal for Belgium. At just 19 years of age, the young cyclist from Flemish Brabant became the youngest ever male rider to claim a medal at the World Championships.

When asked about his future, the cyclist expressed his desire to continue the "classic" races, in addition to the time trial events. We hope he'll be just as successful at the Tokyo Olympics, for which he had already been given the green light, and deservedly so!
