Sonaca reinforces its ties with North American production department

The percentage of Belgian multinationals is growing on the global market. Sonaca is a good example. With its takeover of LMI Aerospace, this company has now secured its position on the North American continent.

Sonaca is a Belgian multinational working in the aviation industry. Its headquarters are in Gosselies, Wallonia. The company focuses on the development, manufacturing and assembly of aerospace structures for civil and military markets. Sonaca Group is known for the production of pioneering and complex parts. The company has production units in China, Romania, Brazil and Canada.

During their state visit to Canada in March 2018, the Belgian Royal Couple paid a visit to Sonaca's production department in Montreal. This site is a large supplier of aircraft parts to the American market.

The multinational recently extended its influence on this market even more by taking over LMI Aerospace and in doing so reinforced its ties with North America. This explains why Sonaca won the Company of the Year Award from BelCham, the Belgian-American Chamber of Commerce. This prize is awarded to companies that have established themselves on the American market. With its takeover of LMI Aerospace, the Sonaca Group is now a world leader in the development of complex aircraft parts.
