Inclusive companies: A Belgian company in the Top 10

Solvay stands out at the European level in a ranking which evaluates diversity and inclusion within 700 European companies. The Belgian chemical giant is in 9th position.

Solvay is in the Top 10 of employers in terms of diversity and inclusion. The ranking has been compiled by the Financial Times. Founded in Belgium more than 150 years ago, today the group is a giant in the chemical industry. Enjoying 9th position, Solvay is therefore the best ranked Belgian company among the 14 Belgian companies assessed.

 

The Diversity Leaders report, compiled by the Financial Times, highlights the progress made in workplace inclusion among nearly 700 companies from 10 European countries. Specifically, it is an assessment of the "promotion of all types of diversity", namely inclusion in terms of gender equality, openness in terms of sexual orientation, disability, as well as the promotion of social and ethnic diversity that better reflects society.

 

In compiling the ranking, the Financial Times collected data from 80,000 employees in 10 European countries. In partnership with Statista, which surveyed the opinions of experts in human resources and recruitment, the FT conducted this survey with the aim of promoting best practice in this area.
