Experience the northern lights in Brugelette, between Mons and Ath
During this festive season, Pairi Daiza, voted best zoo in Europe several times, has gone to great lengths to offer visitors a magical and light-filled transition to the new year. It is awaiting visitors in its 75-hectare Jardin des Mondes (Garden of the Worlds), undoubtedly the largest illuminated space in Belgium.
Among the new flagship attractions of this "Winter Time 2021" edition, there is first of all this virtual trip to Iceland to witness the recreation of the northern lights in the large dome. Immerse yourself in the heart of an exceptional light phenomenon thanks to 360° mapping. Gourmets will also be delighted to discover festive seasonal dishes under the dome: smoked salmon, raclette, mulled wine and a limited edition M'as dark Christmas beer with subtle notes of spices, ginger, cinnamon and chocolate, brewed and bottled at the very heart of Pairi Daiza. Don't miss the show in the Chinese garden, which will have a whole new look; from the Buddhist temple to the Tea House, "The Middle Kingdom" will be radiant during a magical show composed of thousands of lights and hundreds of lanterns. And, to the delight of young and old alike, Pairi Daiza is again opening up its gigantic floating ecological ice rink, the largest in Europe. Up to 500 visitors at a time will be able to indulge in the joys of skating on its 1,500-m² surface.
