Aucxis and MediaGeniX win prestigious export award
Every year, the Flemish government awards the ‘Export Lion' to companies from the north of the country for their outstanding export performance. This year, the prestigious award goes to Aucxis and MediaGeniX, who both derive over 70% of their turnover from exports.
In the category of companies with under 50 employees the 'Export Lion' was awarded to Aucxis, a company from the province of East Flanders specializing in innovative and high-tech auction and selling systems on a global scale. Within this niche market, Aucxis has a share of around 80% and is unmistakably the global market leader at the moment.
MediaGeniX, from the province of Flemish Brabant, won the award in the category of companies with over 50 employees. The company is currently market leader in Europe and is now also targeting other continents. MediaGeniX is currently installing its software package WHATS'On for the networks Disney Channel in Argentina and Al Jazeera in the Middle East. The software aids in the planning of television and radio broadcasting, and of online content.
With the annual presentation of the 'Export Lion', the Flemish government wants to underline the importance of exports for the economy in a world that is increasingly shaped by globalization.
