Is Kevin De Bruyne simply the best?
Belgian Red Devil Kevin De Bruyne is in the running for Best FIFA Men’s Player of the year.
De Bruyne’s name is on a list of 12 elite players who have had an extremely accomplished year. Even the reasons for his inclusion on the list are impressive: his team – Manchester City – won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League, and he had more assists than anyone else in the Premier League this season. Finally, he was also named in the Champions League team of the season.
This is the fifth time Kevin De Bruyne has been nominated for the FIFA ‘The Best’ Award after also having made the list in 2018 and from 2020 through 2022.
De Bruyne is widely appreciated for his football skills, whether it’s for Manchester City or for the Belgian national team. Proof of that can be found in his 99 caps for the Red Devils so far, over which the midfielder scored no less than 26 goals, putting him on the list of the top 10 goal scorers for Belgium.
