Two Belgians ranked in the Top 5 at the Figure Skating European Championships
At the Figure Skating European Championships, Loena Hendrickx won a silver medal, while another Belgian figure skater, Nina Pinzarrone, finished at the fourth place.

This year’s Figure Skating European Championships took place in Sheffield, Great Britain with two Belgians aiming for a spot on the podium.
Despite battling a cold and struggling with groin pain, Loena Hendrickx channelled the energy of the crowd to claim another European medal. The Antwerp native, although only ranked fifth after the short program, pulled herself together in the free skate. She returned to the British ice with fierce determination, performing her triple jumps with confidence and finesse in harmony with the song La Alegria by Yasmin Levi, finishing in a highly respectable second place, behind the Estonian Niina Petrõkina.
Nina Pinzaronne, for her part, ended the competition feeling somewhat disappointed. Though ranked second after the short program, the Brussels-born figure skater ultimately slipped to fourth place, just off the podium.
Both Belgian figure skaters must now fine-tune their preparation ahead of the Winter Olympics, which will open next February in Italy, mainly in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.
