Tennis: Belgium Qualifies for the Billie Jean King Cup Final 8

The Belgian players pulled off a remarkable achievement by defeating the United States team and propelling Belgium into the final stage of this prestigious team tennis competition, which brings together the world’s top nations.

Belgium was certainly not the favourite going into this encounter against the American players. However, backed by their home crowd in Ostend, the Belgians made the upset possible.

For Belgium, this fine victory marks a return to the final stage of the Billie Jean King Cup for the first time since 2022.

Great Britain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Spain, Ukraine and the Czech Republic have also qualified for the Final 8, which will additionally include China, the host nation of the event to be held in Shenzhen from 22 to 27 September.
