The successes keep on coming for Evenepoel

2019 was kind to the young athlete from Brabant, and 2020 is looking set to be equally positive! Remco Evenepoel has been racking up victories over the last 13 months and has managed to make a name for himself in the cycling world.

Remco Evenepoel stood out from his competitors on several occasions in 2019. He entered the record books at the Clásica San Sebastián by becoming the youngest WorldTour winner in history, having already won the European Championships time trial in Alkmaar in the Netherlands in 2019.  In September of the same year, he finished second in the time trial at the World Championships in England. He was also elected 2019 Belgian Sportsperson of the year.

Remco Evenepoel has already won two stage races in 2020. He won the Vuelta a San Juan in Argentina and the Volta ao Algarve in Portugal. In Portugal, he even beat the Australian Rohan Dennis, who is the world time trial champion.

It comes as no surprise that we will be able to cheer on the young Belgian at the Tokyo Olympic Games this summer.
