Matthieu Bonne breaks another record

12/09/2024

Ultra-endurance athlete Matthieu Bonne has broken yet another world record by running nearly 1,050 kilometres in six days.

For twenty years, the record stood at 1036,8 kilometres. The 30-year-old lifeguard from Bredene went to great lengths to beat this epic record. For example, he only slept for 10 hours over those six days, in four blocks of 2,5 hours. With his feat, he succeeded where dozens before him have failed.

This isn’t Bonne’s first rodeo. He’s also broken the record for the longest distance on a bicycle in seven days (3,619 kilometres) and has swum a record-breaking 131 kilometres without stopping, over the same amount of time.

Does it sound like a record you’d like to have a crack at? Let us know!
