For the second time in his career, the Red Devil and Manchester City midfielder has won the trophy for the best player in the English championship.

Kevin De Bruyne has been awarded the Premier League Player of the Season award for the second time in his career. This is great recognition for the Red Devil, who has had a magnificent season with Manchester City and played a decisive role throughout the English championship.

The Belgian player has just won a fourth English championship title in the last five years with the Cityzens. The midfielder has made thirteen assists and found the net himself 19 times, which is a personal best in the Premier League. De Bruyne has also been impressively consistent throughout the season and been able to raise his game in the high stakes matches, scoring goals against Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.

This Premier League Player of the Season was awarded to him based on public votes, combined with votes from 20 Premier League captains and a panel of experts. Two other Belgians have received this award since it was created in 1995: Eden Hazard in the 2014-2015 season with Chelsea and Vincent Kompany in 2011-2012 with Manchester City.

As Kevin De Bruyne already won this award in the 2019/2020 season, he now joins Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo and Nemanja Vidic as the only players to have won the trophy twice.
