Belgium’s athletes have given their all at the 2026 Euros in Birmingham, and they came home with four medals to prove it.

First, all eyes on Saliyya Guisse. The 30-year-old Brussels native, who already has six Belgian triple jump championship titles under her belt, surprised friend and foe by taking home a silver medal in the discipline. She leapt a stunning 14.46 metres, improving her personal best and putting the best ever triple jump in an international competition in Belgian history to her name.
Second, we have Delphine Nkansa to thank for a bronze medal in the women’s 100 metres. She became the second Belgian woman ever, after Kim Gevaert 20 years before her, to bring home a plaque in this category.
Jana Van Lent also did our country proud, taking third place in an epic battle for gold between her, a Dutch and an Italian competitor in the women’s 10,000 metre race.
Last but certainly not least, the Belgian Falcons – Belgium’s male 4x100m relay team – have taken home our country’s fourth and final medal for the championships.
Well done to all these tremendous sportswomen and -men. Belgium is proud of you.
