Belgian Cats on the way to the 2025 Women’s Euro Basketball Championship
The Belgian women’s basketball team has just qualified for the Women’s Euro 2025, a source of pride for Belgium.
Despite formidable opponents, the Belgian Cats never gave up and fought to the end. The result: a narrow 69-70 victory for the Belgian Cats over Lithuania. This victory means they are top of their group, and their place at the 2025 European Championship is now guaranteed. In 2023, the Belgian Cats took first place at the championship. Will they do the same this year?
The Belgian team is also grateful for the work accomplished with their new coach, Mike Thibault. The American-born coach of the Belgian Cats has been able to advise and encourage his team, leading them straight to victory.
At the 2024 Olympics Games, the Belgian Cats made it all the way to the quarter-finals, already a great victory for Belgium.
