Bart Swings wins the Shanghai Inline Skating Marathon

The Belgian speed skater, who boasts an impressive track record on the ice, laced up his inline skates on the streets of Shanghai and secured a marathon victory.

Bart Swings has won the Shanghai Inline Skating Marathon. The 35-year-old skater secured a solo victory after pulling away from France’s Nolan Beddiaf at the halfway stage. Beddiaf finished second, whilst Colombia’s Juan Paul Ramirez Garcia completed the podium.

This was Bart Swings’ first competition since the end of his speed skating season at the Winter Olympics.

Having already won in Shanghai in 2024, Bart Swings succeeds Germany’s Felix Rijhnen on the winners’ list.

A magnificent and prestigious success for this multiple medallist in his discipline!
