3 Belgians crowned at the Hockey Stars Awards ceremony

This year, the spotlight is on Belgian hockey with 3 Belgians receiving awards at the 2016 Hockey Stars Awards ceremony! John-John Dohmen, Arthur Van Doren and Laurine Delforge were the big winners at these international awards.

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) presented the prestigious Hockey Stars Awards for 2016 in Chandigarh in India. John-John Dohmen was named International Hockey Federation (FIH) Player of the Year. Arthur Van Doren also won an award, for FIH Rising Star of the Year. But it doesn't end there, a woman also featured in this prestigious ranking with Laurine Delforge winning FIH Umpire of the Year.

These different awards recognised the world's best player, rising star, goalkeeper, coach and umpire of the International Hockey Federation for 2016. There are 10 awards in total, one male and one female in each category. And out of these 10 awards, Belgium won 3! Not bad at all! These titles are recognised worldwide, which only goes to prove our Belgian talents!
