30/05/2024

The coach of the Red Devils has announced the list of players who will take part in the forthcoming UEFA European Football Championship.

Euro 2024 will bring together the 24 best men's national teams in Europe for a major tournament to be held in Germany from 14 June to 14 July.

Belgian coach Domenico Tedesco has selected 25 players to take part in the 17th edition of this European competition, held every four years. The only big surprise in this list of players is the return of Axel Witsel, the solid defender who announced his international retirement in May 2023.

Here are the 25 Red Devils for the Euro:

Goalkeepers: Koen Casteels (Wolfsburg), Matz Sels (Nottingham Forest), Thomas Kaminski (Luton Town)

Defenders: Jan Vertonghen (Anderlecht), Wout Faes (Leicester), Zeno Debast (Anderlecht), Axel Witsel (Atlético Madrid), Arthur Theate (Rennes), Timothy Castagne (Fulham), Thomas Meunier (Trabzonspor), Maxim De Cuyper (FC Bruges)

Midfielders: Amadou Onana (Everton), Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Orel Mangala (Lyon), Youri Tielemans (Aston Villa), Aster Vranckx (Wolfsburg), Leandro Trossard (Arsenal), Yannick Carrasco (Al-Shabab), Arthur Vermeeren (Atlético Madrid)

Forwards: Dodi Lukebakio (Sevilla), Johan Bakayoko (PSV), Romelu Lukaku (AS Roma), Loïs Openda (Leipzig), Jérémy Doku (Manchester City), Charles De Ketelaere (Atalanta)

We wish the Red Devils every success and hope they make it through to the final in Berlin. They have a long road ahead of them and will first have to get through their qualifying group, which includes three other nations: Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine!
