2026 Winter Olympics: Belgium wins its first medal in the mixed short track relay

Placed in the most difficult quarter-final series, which included Canada and China, the Belgian mixed relay team qualified after a very good time of 2 minutes 34.94 seconds.

In the semi-finals, Belgium had its work cut out to finish in the top two and reach the final. But the Belgian Ice Bears were able to count on the United States and South Korea falling shortly after the halfway point to take second place.

In the final, the Belgian team achieved the feat of finishing third behind Italy and Canada, while beating China.
