Belgian Red Devils keep on making history

Since 4 June Belgium has been at number two in the FIFA world ranking: that's a first in the history of Belgian football!

On 7 March 2015, Nafissatou Thiam won the silver medal in the pentathlon at the European Indoor Championships in Prague. Totalling 4,696 points, she also achieved a new personal record.

Since 23 October, the Belgian national football team, the Red Devils (Rode Duivels), has been placed at number 4 in the new FIFA ranking.

Who could forget the performances of our champions? Eddy Merckx, nicknamed The Cannibal with his extraordinary record, Stefan Everts and his ten motocross world championship titles and Jacky Ickx, six-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. These are just some of our sporting legends like Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin, former tennis number ones with no less than 11 Grand Slam titles between them.
