On 12 March 2019, the Special Olympics World Games got off to a start in Abu Dhabi. This sports competition gives athletes with a mental disability the chance to show their talent.
The International Cycling Union (UCI) has selected Flanders as the organiser of the 2021 World Championships. The Flemish government will dedicate 3.25 million euros to the event.
