Over the winter, two Belgian scientists have collected up to 50,000 micrometeorites in Antarctica. Micrometeorites can help us better understand our solar system.
On 21 February, a group of Belgian and French scientists set off to Antarctica. The aim of the Belgica120 expedition is to draw up an inventory of biodiversity in the Southern Ocean.
Natuurpunt, and its Walloon counterpart Natagora, sent the Belgians flocking into their gardens on 3 and 4 February, to keep up the annual bird-counting tradition.
