Belgian technology in every smartphone
Professor Jean-Pierre Raskin of Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) has recently received the "médaille Blondel" for a wonderful piece of technology developed by him and currently used in every smartphone in the world.

After he became interested in the issue of interference within integrated electronic systems as a student, Jean-Pierre Raskin continued to conduct specialized research on this matter during fifteen years. His perseverance was eventually awarded, as he succeeded in developing a technology significantly reducing the risk of noise in smartphones.
This new technology quickly attracted the attention of several important American, Asian and European companies. The international recognition ensured that recently professor Raskin's research team at the UCL could be reinforced by three new researchers.
The "médaille Blondel" is a prestigious prize which is awarded annually in France to an outstanding international scientist whose research has a real impact on society.
