The 2022 Belgian Grand Prix: the highly anticipated 14th round of the season at the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
All eyes will be on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit this weekend. After its summer break, the Formula 1 World Championship is back in the Belgian Ardennes for this year's highly anticipated race. The 2021 event turned into a fiasco due to heavy rain which led to the single-seaters being stopped after just two laps.
Last winter, organisers went to great lengths to modernise the circuit and improve driver safety. For example, the clearances to the right and left of the top of the Raidillon have been widened to avoid disaster if a car leaves the track. Some of the facilities have also been transformed to provide greater comfort for spectators.
It's a good bet that this will be a spectacular race on this 7-km circuit in the heart of the forest with its fast bends and sudden altitude changes and featuring the legendary Raidillon de l'Eau Rouge, one of the world's most famous bends. With an 18% incline, competitors have to hug a left-right bend followed by a tight left and then a series of climbs that are very hard on the cars and the drivers.
Let the show begin on this circuit, described by many as the most beautiful in the world!
