Where to swim in Wallonia this summer?

13/07/2020

During the summer season, around twenty bathing spots become accessible to the public throughout Wallonia.

Places to relax include the famous site of the Eau d'Heure Lakes, located between the provinces of Hainaut and Namur, which offers two bathing areas. Both are bordered by a sandy beach and have lawns for basking in the sun. Lake Robertville, itself located in the province of Liège, is also an ideal place for lovers of peace and relaxation. You can admire the beautiful green landscapes of the vast surrounding forest and have fun in the outdoor swimming pool equipped with a diving board and water trampoline. Still in the province of Liège, the Ninglinspo is a small stream located in a beautiful valley that, after a 2 km walk, leads you to a place called "The Stag's Pool" where the river has polished a series of natural bathtub-type pools and the water is deep enough to swim in. It's simply magical! In the heart of Walloon Brabant, Renipont-Plage is very popular with families thanks to its water slide, playground and beach volleyball court.

Our country is therefore packed full of swimming spots that will refresh you this summer. What's more, all of these sites are regularly subjected to water quality checks. So get out your swimsuits and consult the interactive map of bathing areas, which gives you real-time information on the sites accessible to the public.
