A virtual tour of Brussels

20/01/2021

Perhaps you dream of visiting Brussels, but the pandemic prevents you from physically travelling there. Don't worry, sit comfortably in front of your screen and the "Brussels By Foot" team will take you on a journey.

The company wanted to actively respond to the various lockdowns currently overwhelming us and limiting our holiday and travel opportunities. So to overcome these difficulties while maintaining their vocation to help people discover our capital, their guides have developed virtual tours of Brussels.

How it works: Your guide actually walks through the streets of the city, equipped with a camera and a microphone. You can follow them from your computer screen, comfortably seated in your armchair. Zoom meetings allow you to follow the tour as if you were there, asking questions and making comments.

Themed walks are also now available. The first allows you to (re)discover the popular city centre district of the Marolles through street protests against oppression, in times of crisis, war, health hazards and impoverishment. The second theme will lead you in the footsteps of the great gangsters and criminal cases that influenced Brussels in the 19th and 20th centuries.
