A veggie restaurant from Ghent and one from Brussels are among the ten best in the world according to the “We’re Smart Awards 2025”.
At the award ceremony, the Ixelles (Brussels)-based Humus x Hortense graces the tenth best spot, boasting the feat of being the first plant-based restaurant in Belgium to have been granted a Michelin star.
In Ghent, restaurant Vrijmoed attracted a fifth place. Hailed as a reference for excellence in gastronomy by Gault & Millau, this two-star restaurant is located in the heart of Ghent and promises a creative modern-day cuisine.
