Two Belgian restaurants among the 100 best in the world

The culinary aficionado will certainly be putting Brussels and Oudenburg on their list of places to visit, as these cities are home to restaurants among the 100 best in the world.

The restaurant in Brussels comes in 63rd place on the list of “World’s 50 Best Restaurants” (the runners-up were announced a few days before the top 50), and its precise location may surprise you: it’s Karen Torosyan’s restaurant inside Bozar, the palace of fine arts just minutes away from the central station. Chef Torosyan is particularly renowned for his puff pastries.

In Oudenburg, then, Willem Hiele is just a step higher, placing 62nd. The food there is more sea-oriented and in line with the seasons, and the man behind it has been described by Michelin as a “rock ‘n roll chef”. Colour us excited!
