Take a 360° flight over Belgium

09/09/2020

Since 1 September, it has been possible to discover the whole of Belgium without leaving the capital. With Flybox, the new virtual reality experience by Imagine Belgium, you can fly over the country on a zip wire.

The Lion's Mound, the canals of Bruges, the Atomium and the Sonian Forest are just a few of the many iconic Belgian sites on the programme. In this VR experience, you take off from the Grand Place in Brussels and fly over many Belgian tourist sites such as the city of Ghent, discover Bueren Mountain in Liège, sail on the canals of Bruges and take part in a bike race in Flanders. The sensation is extremely realistic and the immersive 360° images created by the company "de pinxi" will make you feel as if you are really flying - like a Belgian Icarus, minus the fall. Do you think you have seen everything? The start-up Imagine Belgium thinks it can prove otherwise by immersing you in virtual reality.

Due to the current pandemic, every precaution has been taken to meet COVID-19 standards. Flybox, which is open every day from 10 am to 8 pm, welcomes no more than 150 visitors per day. You can also take advantage of the shop to buy guaranteed 100% Belgian products from local specialists that will delight the whole family. You can also watch typical Belgian events live, such as carnival, folk events and bike races, as if you were really there.
