The prestigious “Excellent Pizzerias” ranking of 50 Top Pizza Europa is out, and it includes not one, not two, but five Belgian pizzerias, four of which are located in the capital.
Pizzaiolo Nicola Falanga, who was awarded the title of best pizzaiolo in Europe at the 2025 European Pizza Show, is the star factor at Biga, a relatively new establishment at Place Colignon in Schaerbeek, Brussels. It shines along with Educazione Napoletana, La Bottega Della Pizza and Marcella, as well as Amuni in Bruges. These Belgian pizzerias stand strong in a list of 140 excellent pizza spots from Amsterdam to Zagreb, and proves that Belgium has a lot of culinary prowess on offer.
They also rank the absolute best pizzerias in Europe – not just the excellent ones. La Piola Pizza maintains a strong fifteenth place on the list, and La Pizza è Bella is 29th. Finally ‘nàPizza in Etterbeek takes 59th place. If you want pizza in Brussels, you’ll never run out of inspiration!
