The Liège-based event Les TransArdentes was crowned the best indoor festival while the Flemish event Rock Werchter was named the artists’ favourite festival in Groningen, in the frame of the European Festival Awards.

The Liège-based event Les TransArdentes, one of the largest electro music events in Belgium and also the first large music gathering of the year, received the prestigious Best European Indoor Festival award. This award is a great achievement for “the young winter time relation of Les Ardentes”, according to its organisers. This year, the festival will welcome artists such as Lost Frequencies, Galantis, Charlotte de Witte, Feder, Sigala, Felix Jaehn, Boris Brejcha, Yellow Claw and many more…  This year, it will also celebrate its 9th anniversary and will be held on 23 January at the Halles des Foires in Liège.

Another key event of the year, the summer time pop rock festival, Rock Werchter, was also rewarded. The festival received the European Festival Award for the artists’ favourite festival. It is a wonderful recognition for this event which is considered to be one of the largest music festivals in the world, each year playing host to about 340,000 festival goers. This year, it will be held from 30 June to 3 July in Werchter.
