The Dubuisson Beerstorium, an authentic, interactive and entertaining museum

27/07/2021

Wallonia's oldest brewery, the Brasserie Dubuisson has been brewing authentic natural Belgian beers since 1769. Discover how Bush Blonde, Pêche Mel Bush, Bush Noel and Cuvée des Trolls are made. These beers are well known in our country and distributed in more than thirty countries.

Originally, the brewery was just the annex of a farm based in Pipaix (Leuze-en-Hainaut) used by Joseph Leroy to brew only for the needs of his farm workers and the village inhabitants. This small local production continued until 1932, when Alfred and Antoine Dubuisson bought the farm-brewery and turned it into a fully-fledged brewery. One year later, the famous Bush Beer was born (Bière Dubuisson, buisson meaning bush in English). With its 12% alcohol content, the traditional Bush is the country's strongest beer. At the end of the nineties, variants appeared, including the famous Cuvée des Trolls in 2000.

Despite its more than 250 years of existence, the brewery is also looking to the future. The Beerstorium offers you an interactive experience at the heart of the history of the Dubuisson Brewery as well as amidst the universe and the secrets of the making of its beers, in the magnificent renovated Ghyssegnies castle in Pipaix.
