Belgian culinary talent brought together in Gault&Millau guide 2026
Foodies traditionally look forward to early November, when the acclaimed Gault&Millau guide reveals the best culinary paradises and unforgettable food experiences. Once again, several of our chefs did exceptionally well in a variety of categories. We'll give you a taster.

On 3 November, more than 2,000 restaurant owners, journalists and partners came together to find out how Gault&Millau's anonymous inspectors had given their scores this year. Around 1,400 addresses applauded the selection in the 23rd edition of the renowned dining guide.
Among them, the undisputed Chef of the Year 2026 from Bozar (Brussels), the three Young Chefs of the Year from De Bakermat (Ninove), Basile Cuisine Gourmande (Perwez) and Quartz (Brussels), the exceptional tables, the newcomers making a stir, the highest climbers, the 17 thematic winners of 2026, the trendy H!P addresses that combine atmosphere with high-quality food and drink, and finally, among other places, our best cocktail bars and chocolatiers. The thematic selection always has a surprise in store. How about the best dessert of the year at Le Julien in Lotenhulle or the unrivalled cheese experience at La Grappe d'Or in Arlon? New and very special: the best wine offerings by the glass. For reasonably priced wine by the glass, this year Gault&Millau recommends Tablàvins in Knokke-Heist.
All are genuine masters of the higher art of cooking who, without exception, know exactly how to indulge your taste buds.
