15 Belgian restaurants added to prestigious Bib Gourmand list

08/05/2025

Belgium can proudly say that 15 of its restaurants have been added to Michelin's prestigious Bib Gourmand list.

These restaurants can thus boast that they offer high-quality food for a reasonable price, and they’re spread all over the country.

Why not start with the capital? Three of the new Bib Gourmand restaurants are in the Brussels region: Au Repos de la Montagne in Uccle, Babam in Watermael-Boitsfort and Lune Siamoise in Ixelles; they offer French, bistro and Thai food respectively.

In Flanders, five new restaurants can say they’re Michelin-worthy, starting with the Antwerp restaurant and/or, and eppo in Berchem. Those visiting Bruges can try Jacobin. Finally, there is Taberna Bask outside of Ghent and The FOX in Oudenaarde.

But the real Bib Gourmand boom in Belgium is happening in Wallonia, with no less than seven restaurants that meet the criteria. Châtelet, Mont-sur-Marchienne, Thuillies, Thuin (all in Hainaut), Ouffet (Liège province), Floriffoux (Namur province) and Liège are where you can find these new additions. Whether it’s Thai food, like at Wan Thai Food or La Maison Thai, or traditional cuisine like Table et Vin and La Petite Gayole, there is something for everyone in Belgium. Émulsion, Sébastian and Bagù complete the list.
