Vogue hails Belgian fashion schools
Two of the ten best schools for fashion in the world are in Belgium, according to Vogue Business.

Anyone who knows fashion is well aware that there’s a giant lurking in the shadows of Paris, London and New York. Belgium, ladies and gentlemen, is where the cream of the crop comes to learn the tricks of the trade for haute couture. We’re of course referring to La Cambre and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.
According to Vogue, La Cambre’s “notable alumni roster is pretty impressive” and the school is described as one “for those who see fashion within a wider context and are keen to examine why clothes exist, culturally, politically and socially” among other reasons that set it apart.
The Royal Academy of Fine Arts, then, has its own calling card in Dirk Bikkembergs, Ann Demeulemeester, Walter Van Beirendonck, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Van Saene and the recently deceased Marina Yee: the famed Antwerp Six. Vogue says the academy “is best for independent thinkers and those drawn to designing from a perspective that blends art, design and fashion.”
With so many major fashion labels counting on people whose skills were honed at La Cambre and the Royal Academy, we dare say Vogue has shown excellent judgement in its list of the best fashion schools in the world.
