Two Belgian universities among top 50 in Europe

Two Belgian universities are among the 50 best in Europe, according to the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2025.

KU Leuven is the best-ranked Belgian university in Quacquarelli Symonds’ latest ranking for Europe, standing strong in 27th place. The university of Ghent has now too found its way into the top 50, coming in at 47th.  

Two more Belgian universities are among the 100 best according to the ranking, which considers 685 universities from 42 countries. UCLouvain (75) and the French-speaking Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB, 94) are the next two, trailed closely by UAntwerpen (109) and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB, 114). 

Also on the list are the universities of Liège, Hasselt, Namur and Mons, as well as Saint-Louis University Brussels. 

Such rankings show once again that Belgian universities are at the cutting edge of scientific development. Congratulations to our researchers and students!
