Liege Airport among the world’s best for cargo transport
Belgium’s Liege Airport has a stellar reputation when it comes to cargo, among the best in the world even. The proof is in its nomination by Air Cargo Week among the top five in the world.

Liege Airport’s CEO has said that being listed in Air Cargo Week’s top five cargo airports in the world is like receiving an Oscar, and said it was an honour to be mentioned in the same breath with Singapore, Dallas and Incheon (South Korea).
The airport just west of the Ardent City of Liège had its second-best year in 2024, seeing over 1.16 million tonnes of cargo passing through. It reaches 400 million consumers thanks to its crucial location between major European cities like Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris, and Frankfurt – these last three being known together as the Golden Triangle.
Did you know that the airport was named best cargo airport in the world in 2020, in a year where both the World Health Organisation and the World Food Programme chose Liege for delivering medical and humanitarian equipment to countries around the world?
