24/02/2016

A recent study presented by the consultancy company Mercer shows that Brussels ensures an excellent quality of life. Among 230 examined cities all over the world, the Belgian capital ranks 21st.

This study allows multinationals to evaluate the opportunities to expatriate and live in these cities.  Safety, health and housing conditions  are therefore key components in this study that analyses living conditions in function of 39 factors.

This study indicates that Europe still is the world region  that offers the best quality of life to its workers. Vienna is on top of the list, followed by Zurich. Brussels is 21st.  As a matter of fact, thanks to its strategic position and its cultural and social diversity, Brussels is a hub that attracts and stimulates people.  The region houses more than 60 European, international and intergovernmental institutions. 5400 diplomats are based in Brussels, that is the largest number of diplomats in the world. These figures make the capital of Europe the place to be for international companies.
