Brussels cocktail bar in Les Marolles made it onto Top 500 Bars global ranking
Brussels’ Marolles district has a way of charming the visitors with its friendly atmosphere, the flea market on the Jeu de Balle Square, the monumental Palace of Justice, the Chapel Church associated with Pieter Bruegel the Elder and the house where this master painter is believed to have lived. And now, the neighbourhood has gained another attraction: Plumette, recently ranked amongst the world’s best cocktail bars.

A handful of steep, cobbled alleys or stairways connect the rue Haute with the rue des Minimes in Brussels’ popular Marolles district. In one of them, the rue de l’Épée, mixologists wield their shakers with passion, skill and verve to craft the delicious cocktails that define their style. Sparkling wine, pear purée, gin, fresh verbena, lime juice... you name it. Ingredients aplenty for endlessly reinvented, guaranteed unforgettable taste experiences.
It was written in the stars that such quality would catch the eye of experts, journalists, influencers, review platforms, social media and other cocktail connoisseurs. This resulted in a spot in the world-renowned Top 500 Bars ranking and a steadily expanding customer base. It is worth noting that Antwerp’s Dogma was also included in this prestigious list earlier – a distinction that involves some serious talent!
If you enjoyed yourself a little too much in this flowery bar in the lower town, you can rest easy. Just step outside, cross the cobbled road and you'll find the glass elevator waiting to whisk you up to the Place Poelaert in the upper town – free of charge – from where you can continue your journey.
