Brussels among top 20 cities in the world for mobility
Brussels has scored high on the Urban Mobility Readiness Index, ranking among the 20 best cities in the world when it comes to mobility.

The index, which is linked to the University of California Berkeley, grades cities on innovation, efficiency, market potential, infrastructure, and societal impact.
Brussels boasts a 19th place, ahead of major cities like Milan and Madrid, and is even the 11th highest ranked city in Europe, scoring especially high on sustainable mobility and public transport.
Like many cities, Brussels is constantly evolving as more people move away from cars towards walking, cycling, and the use of electric scooters. Here’s to Brussels slowly but surely making its way up the scale to a safe haven for any mode of transportation.
Ghent, Leuven, Antwerp and Liège have also made the list, but our capital is vastly ahead according to the index.
