Aquaventure, Bellewaerde Aquapark waterslide, third best water park in Europe
Bellewaerde Aquapark in Ypres earned a fantastic third place with its new aquatic attraction, Aquaventure. The indoor water park won the European Star Award for Best Family Slide from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. The prize was awarded by an independent and international jury in recognition of all the efforts made by the park.
Up to four people can sit in one enormous, inflatable ring. They then slide down the entire length of the 2.70m-wide and 117m-long slide. Along the way, they suddenly find themselves riding a gigantic wave under an open sky. Park operators are particularly targeting families with children from 6 to 12 years old. A whole range of slides, interactive play areas and other fun-filled activities will provide unique and unforgettable moments in a completely secure environment. In addition to Aquaventure, there is also the Lazy River, which flows slowly and allows you to float serenely throughout the entire park, along a climbing wall and an aquarium, and through various water features. You can also relax in the sauna, in the jacuzzis and even outside on the lawn.
