Angèle, hailed for her concerts

20/02/2020

Angèle comes away from the Victoires de la Musique with the prize for the best concert.

2019 has really been a roller-coaster ride for Angèle. Her album is a Diamond disk and is the top seller in France. She was named best female French artist of the year at the NRJ Music Awards and has performed in Belgium, France, Canada, and even the United States.

The texts by the young Brussels-based artist are always very contemporary and talk about daily life with poetry and a touch of humour. The thing that no doubt makes her concerts so original is that her audiences know her songs by heart, and not just the choruses. Almost all the tracks on her album Brol are hits and that too is pretty exceptional.

She talks about the daily lives of young girls of her age: social media, image, sexism, money, homosexuality.

At 24 years of age, the young woman has already appeared at Olympia in Paris, a great triumph for the enthusiastic crowd, and has also sang with her big brother Romeo Elvis, Yseult, and even Hélène Ségara. For her, singing on stage is a great joy and she is both professional and spontaneous. We bet she'll keep this fresh spirit for a long time to come.
