World Premiere: Napoleon, The Immersive Saga , a virtual reality experience at the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History in Brussels.
To set the stage, a pop-up exhibition will guide you through authentic objects that evoke the historical and cultural context of the Napoleonic era. After that, you’ll step into the interactive experience of Napoleon’s adventures, brought to life with stunning visual and audio clarity.

From soldiers' uniforms and weapons to Napoleon’s personal effects and paintings of his greatest campaigns... A scientific committee of experts opted for a classic introduction. They decided to first present visitors with exceptional pieces from the War Heritage Institute's collections. Once their basic knowledge is refreshed or brushed up, they are equipped with an HTC Vive Focus 3 headset and ready to enjoy the grand immersive spectacle for half an hour.
You'll be transported back to the early 19th century. Napoleon himself speaks directly to you. He recounts with pride how the French defeated the Austrian and Russian armies at the Battle of Austerlitz in 1805; describes the freezing weather on the Berezina River after the disastrous retreat from Russia in 1812; and how he was exiled to St Helena following his final defeat at Waterloo in 1815, spending his last years at Longwood House on that remote island in the South Atlantic until his death in 1821.
Napoleon, as you've never seen him. A captivating account. Until 17 August.
