Take a dive into the Great Smurf Experience
FOB will never run out of things to say about our Smurfs. Until 23 March 2025, you can visit Brussels Expo at the Heysel in Brussels to get to know the world-famous blue creatures even better.
Young and old are welcome at Brussels Expo for a fun and educational visit to the 1,500 m² Smurf village. During the 75-minute experience, visitors can explore nine thematic zones and, thanks to interactive innovations, they are fully immersed in the universe of the blue iconic comic book heroes conceived by scriptwriter and illustrator Pierre Culliford, aka Peyo. 3D projections and other advanced technologies, such as augmented reality, are also employed to allow the virtual and real worlds to merge. You might even begin to think that you are part of the Smurf adventures. Walk through their quaint village, past their mushroom houses, along the secret paths in the magic forest and through the magical blue landscape. But watch out for Gargamel, the villain who has set his sights on them since time immemorial. Unforgettable moments guaranteed.
And just to refresh the memory: back in 1958, the Smurfs made their debut in the comic strip Johan and Peewit in the weekly magazine Spirou. Later, they popped up in cartoons, animation and live action films, merchandising, comic book walls, etc. And in 2024, they still have a huge fan base.
