It’s greenhouse time in Laeken

26 April 2024 - 20 May 2024
Brussels

The Royal Greenhouses of Laeken will once again reopen to the public at the end of April.

As per yearly tradition, the Royal Greenhouses will be open for visitation. Amateur botanists or not, visitors can bask in the joy of being among all sorts of exotic and beautiful flowers, with the possibility to choose between a two-kilometre and a three-kilometre walk through the finest creations that nature has to offer.

What’s the difference, you ask? The shorter tour ‘only’ encompasses the greenhouses, made up of the Palm Plateau (which includes palm trees, azaleas, geraniums and more), the Embarcadère -- which once served as a guest reception area --, the subtropical plants of the Congo greenhouse, the winter garden and the orangery, which includes not only orange trees but also camelias and laurel trees, for example.

Those who venture for the long walk will also get to explore the gardens of the royal domain, take in the beauty of the greenhouses’ architecture from afar and enjoy some of the picture-perfect spots before entering the greenhouse complex.

Head to the website of the greenhouses for more information and enjoy your walk!
