Come September, the Church of Our Lady of Victories at the Sablon will set the scene for Genesis, an impressive sound and light show.
For a month and a half, on Thursday through Sunday, the monumental Brabantine Gothic church will be the backdrop for a story known by billions of people around the world: the story of creation as it was described in the Old Testament. Just like the story revolves around seven days, the 30-minute show is divided into seven parts, promising “a journey through light, sky, water, nature, animals, and humans.”
There are also sessions with live music. Those last a little longer, namely 45 minutes. Whichever version floats your ark (see what we did there?), the immersive experience is suitable for everyone, from the youngest of the young to the oldest of the old.
