Immerse yourself in the world of Van Gogh
The Brussels Stock Exchange (Bourse) is hosting the "Van Gogh - The Immersive Experience" exhibition until 6 January 2019; it offers a new way of looking at the Dutch painter's impressionist works. The scenery uses virtual imagery and allows visitors to step into the heart of these famous works.
Vincent Van Gogh was first and foremost a tortured artist whose sensitivity has to be deciphered. The exhibition at the Bourse offers a new interpretation thanks to immersive mapping technology, which involves projecting imagery onto a relief decor while adding sound to the moving image.
The company Dirty Monitor, known for its 3D animations, created the entire exhibition. For a small supplement, visitors will be given a virtual reality mask which will allow them to walk in the fields that inspired the painter, while listening to the letters Vincent Van Gogh wrote to his brother Theo.
