BIFFF is back in Brussels
Film lovers, save the date: Brussels is hosting two whole weeks devoted to fantasy films and many other genres.
The 43rd edition of the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF) will take place this year from 8 to 20 April 2025 at Brussels Expo, on the Heysel plateau.
Founded in 1983 with the aim of simply bringing together a group of friends, the BIFFF is now one of the world's most famous genre film festivals. Every year, over 50,000 festival-goers gather to enjoy this unique event in Brussels.
There are over one hundred short and feature-length films to discover, covering a wide variety of genres, so there's something for everyone: science fiction, fantasy, action, thrillers, black comedy, and more. During the festival, you can also admire some splendid art exhibitions, take part in all kinds of entertainment, including the make-up competition, or attend masterclasses with prestigious guests. Does the name Danny Boyle ring a bell? Today, he is one of the most remarkable filmmakers in British cinema. His first film, Shallow Grave, was screened for the first time at the 13th BIFFF, in 1995. The filmmaker will be one of the guests at this year's BIFFF.
